Q & A
Do I have to go to a certain church to help or be involved?
Absolutely not!! We welcome all hands to help with the project. Your denomination is not as important as your willingness to serve.
Can I just come to see what it's all about?
Of course!! We would love to have you join us once or every day. There is no obligation if you just want to check it out. Our hope is that you will love it and want to help on a regular basis or start a project like it in your community.
What can I do to help if I don't have time to spare?
We would like for every person to experience life from another's perspective at least once, but if you are unable to go out to the sites with us or come to our facility, we have lots you can do: we need help with paperwork, newsletters, website developement, hanging and sorting clothing, monthly giving and much more!! Just ask=)
Can I bring a group to help?
Yes!! We welcome groups of all kinds: youth groups, church groups, school organizations & clubs, community service groups, families and any other group who is interested in serving the community.
How old do my children need to be to participate by visiting the Nehemiah Project sites?
Generally we ask that all volunteers be a minimum of 13 years old due to the location and nature of the work on site. However, if you have children who will be coming with you to serve we welcome them and ask that you be responsible for them during your time on site.If you have kids who wish to volunteer there are many other opportunities for them within the Nehemiah Project Intl. Please use the "Contact Us" form on this website for inquiries.
