the beginning
After numerous mission trips to Mexico and serving the homeless in Visalia, Ca, God created in us a desire to serve those in our own community faithfully and wholeheartdly. We started to wonder within ourselves if we could bring the servanthood of "spring break mission trips" to everyday life while at home, taking a mission trip minutes from our home. As we talked it out and prayed it through we began to share our vision with those closest to us. We were amazed to learn that the very idea God had given to us He had also imparted to Pastors Matthew and Tommy Barnett long ago and the finished product of their dream was the Dream Center Los Angeles. Upon learning of the Dream Center we quickly planned a trip to see for ourselves what God was already doing. This trip forever changed our idea of our Father and His plan for our lives.
The Nehemiah Project International has been serving our community and internationally since June 2008. We pray that as you search out where you fit into His plan that you will consider helping us serve this community and internationally to bring people help and hope.

the mission
The Nehemiah Project International meets the needs of people at home (in our community) & abroad (internationally) by strategically impacting the poorest pockets of people. We consistently build relationships through servanthood and love thus restoring a sense of self worth, dignity and faith in God. A jack of all trades, the Nehemiah Project International distributes food & clothing and serves at risk kids through a Christ based after school program. By loving people regardless of their beliefs or circumstances and meeting their needs in a real way (like food and water) we offer the hope of a better life physically and spiritually.
